Summertime

 

Stavolta voglio solo farvi ascoltare due versioni di Summertime, un'aria composta da George Gershwin per l'opera Porgy and Bess (1935). 
Il testo di questa sorta di ninna nanna è di Ira Gershwin e Du Bose Heyward.

 

E' diventata uno standard molto famoso ed è stata eseguita da molti musicisti: da Miles Davis a Sonny Rollins, dai R.E.M. a Paul McCartney.
La mia preferita è la versione rock, con la voce graffiante e sofferta di Janis Joplin (live a Stoccolma, 1969)
